Heifer International Project

Thanks to all of you for your generous donations to the Heifer International Project. Our last class activity was to decide on what animals we would like to purchase for families in other countries. Here is our choice of animals.
1- Llama share
1 Flock of chicks
1- Trio of Rabbits
1-Share of a pig
1- Hive of bees
I think the kids selected a great group of animals.
Thanks so much for doing this. It was a wonderful gift to receive.

NASA's Signature in Space

As part of our study of the space program, the Astro Team participated in the Signature in Space project. The program is sponsored jointly by both NASA and Lockheed Martin Corportation. The students made presentations to the students in the other teams in school about this program. The purpose of the program is to develop an awareness of what is happening in the space program. In the fall of 2009 NASA will be sending another shuttle into space. As part of the ship's manifest there will be the signatures of thousands of people that were collected by students who participated in this project. The students at Allen Brook School who signed the poster will have their names on this manifest.
